Stockholm Lutheran Church was founded in 1866 by Swedish settlers. Primarily a rural congregation, the church currently has 447 baptized members. There is one Sunday morning service averaging attendance of 100. The congregation has a diverse blend of age groups living in the communities of Cokato, Howard Lake, and Dassel with a radius of ten miles. While still a rural church, located four miles south of Cokato, the benefits of its proximity to the Twin Cities, St. Cloud, and Hutchinson can still be enjoyed.
